THE BETTER END
by RFH
A fair warning
to the ungodly
who devise ways
to scheme, plot,
plunder and steal;
Heaven's reserved
for those of us
who've rarely received
the better end
of any deal.
Proverbs 16:19 "Better
it is to be of an humble
spirit with the lowly, than
to divide the spoil with
the proud."
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 [in
part] "Or do you not know
that the unrighteous shall
not inherit the kingdom
of God? Do not be de-
ceived ..."

3rd stanza (plus the refrain) of a hymn ("Our Father's Love") by Frederick M. Lehman; stanza 3 specifically by Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai) that was recently discovered by RFH in a hymnal (The Celebration Hymnal by Word Music / Integrity Music). It was copyrighted in 1997 by Integrity's Hosanna! Music and Word Music (a division of WORD MUSIC). As all rights are reserved, please do not publish this without per- mission from said publishers. With that understood, enjoy these thoughts with awe and wonder: OUR FATHER'S LOVE (by authors aforementioned) Could we with ink the ocean fill And were the skies of parchment made, Were every stalk on earth a quill And every man a scribe by trade, To write the love of God above Would drain the ocean dry; Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Tho' stretched from sky to sky. O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forevermore endure -- The saints' and angels' song! Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV) "I have loved you with an everlasting love." MORE THAN BLEST
by RFH
'Twould be better
for me to say:
I'm more than blest
this very day!
Numbers 6:24-26 "The
LORD bless thee, and
keep thee ... make His
face shine upon thee ...
and give thee peace."
Psalm 30:5 "For his
anger endureth but for
a moment ... weeping
may endure for a night,
but joy cometh in the
morning."

Note: Remember when the worship "service" was long ago called the worship hour? Thank you, Bill M., for helping to bring back the 30-minute sermon. This is for you: POWERFUL SERMON by RFH Such a great sermon said with God's power And even executed in just half an hour. (c) RFH 06/03/2017 [Nonprofit use permitted] |
