Alumni Association of Takoma Academy

In April 2013 the Potomac Conference filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the alumni association which used the name Takoma Academy Alumni Association for 35 years.

This lawsuit is now over.

On Aug. 7, 2014 the Federal Court Judge signed a Consent Order ending the litigation and ruling in favor of the Potomac Conference. Here is the Court Order in PDF file

The new name of the former Takoma Academy Alumni Association is

Independent Academy Alumni Association, Inc.

the school (conference) owns all rights to the original name
and now there are two Alumni Associations for Takoma Academy
